Cliniko connection

Practice operations beside Cliniko

Keep bookings and care records in Cliniko. Use CliniBase to turn saved appointment patterns and everyday practice work into a clear next step.

Start with one operational question

Cliniko already manages appointments, treatment notes and practice administration. You do not need to move those records to try a clearer handover or staff training workflow.1

CliniBase connects tasks to current guidance and learning. Eligible managers can review supported saved booking patterns, then choose an owner and review date for an operational response.2

Care and appointmentsBook appointments and maintain the patient record.1Read-only saved appointment activity. No booking changes or clinical note text.3
Daily planningKeep the appointment diary authoritative.Estimate a task and plan it into confirmed free time. Stale or unknown availability stays labelled.2
Pattern reviewReview the original activity when investigating.Supported cancellations, no-shows and rebooking views, including historical capacity measures for Cliniko. These do not measure clinical quality or prove lost revenue.2

What to check before connecting

Confirm the account, connection scope, pricing and setup during early access. A successful sync is evidence availability, not proof that a gap should be filled or that a patient should be contacted.23

  • An admitted CliniBase practice and a Cliniko account able to supply the required API access.
  • An authorised practice owner or manager to connect the supported provider and select the intended diary.
  • Appropriate work and review roles. AI features also need processing approval and practice/member settings.
  • A useful first process with no patient details, clinical notes or confidential staff information.

Fictional example · no real practice data

Review a recurring reception handover

A fictional manager notices incomplete operational handovers while reviewing saved activity. They choose to clarify the process.

  1. Check

Review the dates and source status; keep any patient investigation in Cliniko.

  2. Draft

Prepare a nonclinical handover guide with its source and process owner.

  3. Approve

A different authorised reviewer checks and approves the guide.

  4. Assign

Assign a reception task and linked learning; review completion next week.

Check the result: Did the assigned work finish, and is the approved guide easy to find? Do not infer a revenue gain from task completion.
